Marvelous Designer

For this project, I explored an interior environment: a quiet, old classroom during recess, empty of students.
Inspired by Samuel F. Eveleth's Eveleth's School-house Architecture, I aimed to convey the traces of life through the space itself, its furnishings, and the quality of light. I was responsible for all aspects of production.

Shader Breakdown
I exposed different parameters based on the project's needs, allowing for more flexible blending methods and effects.

Trim RGB Mask
For this project, I reduced reliance on unique bakes while maintaining precise edge weathering through a trim-based workflow. I authored a trim sheet covering both extrusions and cavities. UV Set 1 uses tiling textures, and UV Set 2 maps to the trim-based mask map for controlled edge wear.

RGB Mask
In addition to the trim masks, I also utilized RGB masks on individual props. I found this workflow particularly effective for assets that require extensive duplication or are physically large, where unique textures would result in insufficient resolution.

Assets
Modeled in Maya with ZBrush sculpting for select props.
